Widespread heavy rain and flash flooding is possible across the Mid-Mississippi Valley and Ohio Valley through Friday night along a slow-moving cold front. South of this front will be a severe weather threat from the Southern Plains, the Mid-South, and Lower Mississippi Valley to the Ohio Valley. region today. The aforementioned boundary will stall to the
southwest tonight before returning north as a warm front Saturday.
Low pressure will pass by to the west late Saturday and the cold
front associated with the low will pass through the waters Saturday
night. High pressure will briefly return for Sunday. A Small Craft
Advisory will likely needed for Saturday and Sunday.
