Heat Advisory has been extended into tomorrow across the entire CWA.

We are finally seeing some isolated to widely scattered
shower/thunderstorm development along the seabreeze boundary.
Therefore, some of y`all will see brief heavy downpours and perhaps
brief gusty winds. Many other neighborhoods will remain dry.
Temperatures are quite hot this afternoon with most inland areas in
the mid/upper 90s with heat index values 105-109. Given that it`s
only 3PM as I type, we will likely add a degree or two or three to
those temperatures and heat indices where it doesn`t rain. Isolated
showers/storms diminish this evening, yielding to another warm and
very humid night. Tomorrow looks awfully similar to today with high
heat and humidity, along with another chance of isolated
showers/storms along the seabreeze.

.LONG TERM...
(Friday through next Tuesday)

No major changes with the long term part of the forecast as the deep
mid/upper level ridge remains in place over the Southern Plains with
light onshore winds persisting at the lower levels. This should keep
hot/humid conditions in across SE TX through the weekend on into the
start of next week. Rain chances will remain minimal (less than 20%)
for our coastal or near coastal counties with the seabreeze.

Otherwise, look for highs to range from the mid to upper 90s for the
southern/coastal portions of the CWA through the period...but for in-
land areas, highs will be slowly warming. Highs running in the upper
90s to around 100 on Fri...will then be slowly climbing the next few
days with widespread highs from 98 to 102 possible Sun-Tues. So this
should translate to elevated heat index values (and Heat Advisories)
continuing into the long term from the short term. In fact, there is
some credence to the idea that an Excessive Heat Watch/Warning could
be needed before all is said and done. 41

Light and variable winds are expected overnight, becoming
southwesterly early Thursday, then south/southeasterly Thursday
afternoon. Isolated patchy fog will be possible during the early
morning hours at KLBX and KCXO. Isolated storms will be possible
during the afternoon hours. VFR conditions will prevail throughout
the period.

Generally light onshore winds and low seas will prevail through the
rest of the week into the upcoming weekend. Winds may intermittent-
ly increase up to 10-15kts during the overnight/early morning hours.
Otherwise, rain chances will remain low and mainly for the early AM
to early afternoon hours heading into the weekend. 41
