The threat of flash flooding will continue to exist into Monday across the Southwest into the the central Rockies as monsoon conditions persist. Dangerous heat will be in place across the Intermountain West, northern Plains, and into the southern Plains and Lower Mississippi River Valley into early week.

Synopsis: A weak low pressure system will approach the area during the remainder of the weekend. A northerly swell may also move into the Atlantic waters by early week. Shower and thunderstorm chances will increase through early next week with the arrival of the low pressure. With deep tropical moisture around, expect continued diurnally driven convection through much of the upcoming workweek. Locally higher winds and seas can be expected with strongest activity as well as cloud-to-water lightning and perhaps a few waterspouts.
