Winter Storm To Impact Parts Of The Midwest To Northern New England

A winter storm will slowly develop over the Ohio Valley through Wednesday before rapidly strengthening while shifting into southeastern Canada Thursday. A band of snow will develop over the Midwest today into Wednesday, with snow shifting to the interior Northeast on Wednesday night and Thursday. Heavy lake effect snow is expected in the eastern Great Lakes snow belts on Thursday and Friday.

Synopsis: With high pressure still in control today, breezy southerly winds and mostly dry conditions are forecast across all of the South Florida waters. A cold front will then move into the region on Wednesday, brining an increased chance of showers and perhaps a few thunderstorms. Behind the front, there is the potential for hazardous marine conditions across the Atlantic and Gulf waters by the end the week and into the weekend in the form of building seas and gusty winds. Mariners should keep up with the latest forecast.
