Significant winter impacts shift into the Northeast on Sunday. Heavy snow up to 2 feet will be possible across interior Northeastern areas. Southern New England may see ice accumulations up to a quarter of an inch. Strong gusty winds and bitter cold will follow the cold front passage. Synopsis: A Small Craft Advisory is in effect for all South Florida waters. Winds have already begun to increase across the South Florida waters this morning ahead of an approaching cold front. The front will move through the region this morning bringing showers and a slight chance of thunderstorms. Winds will be 20 to 25 knots with gust up to 30 knots. Seas will begin to build in the Gulf building to 7-10 feet. Seas in the Atlantic will be 3-5 feet today building to 6 feet by Monday.
