Potential Tropical Cyclone Sixteen is forecast to move through the Gulf of Mexico today, before reaching the Florida Panhandle by early Saturday. Tropical storm force winds, storm surge, heavy rainfall and dangerous rip currents are expected. The system will continue to track northeast through the Southeast and Southern Mid-Atlantic over the weekend and produce locally heavy rain with gusty winds.
