Overall a quiet day or two coming up for the U.S. lower 48. A system will pass through the South and northern Gulf Coast region for some rain and a few thunderstorms, perhaps some light snow on the northern periphery from the Mid Mississippi Valley into the western Ohio Valley. Another system will sweep through the Northwest to the northern Rockies with some shower activity and mountain snow.
