Beta is expected to slowly approach the Texas coast with an increasing risk of heavy rainfall and flooding along the northwest Gulf Coast by Sunday. Life-threatening storm surge and hurricane-force winds are possible along portions of the Texas Coast by Monday. Elsewhere, gusty conditions will again result in fire weather concerns from the Southwest to the High Plains.
