


Severe Weather and Flooding Expected Across Parts of the South into the Ohio Valley
Widespread heavy rain and flash flooding is possible across the Mid-Mississippi Valley and Ohio Valley through Friday night along a slow-moving cold front. South of this front will be a severe weather threat from the Southern Plains, the Mid-South, and Lower Mississippi Valley to the Ohio Valley. Chilly temperatures and heavy mountain snowfall will persist for parts of the West.

Synopsis: Light southerly winds will increase to moderate to
occasionally strong by tonight, and shift southwesterly by
Saturday morning. Light southerly winds will then resume through
the remainder of the weekend, becoming somewhat variable on
Monday. Winds turn northerly on Tuesday as a cold front moves
across the region. Overnight fog is possible for the bays and
nearshore waters through the weekend.
