Winter Storm Expected To Impact Parts Of The Midwest To Northern New England

A complex winter storm will produce heavy snow and gusty winds from a large portion of the Midwest through the Great Lakes into northern New England through Thursday. Some major metropolitan areas, that are likely to be impacted by snow and travel difficulties, include Chicago and Detroit. This storm will also produce locally heavy rain across parts of the Northeast and Southeast.

Synopsis: With high pressure still in control today, breezy SE to S winds and mostly dry conditions are forecast across all of the South Florida waters. A cold front will then move into the region on Wednesday, brining an increased chance of showers and perhaps a few thunderstorms. Behind the front, there is the potential for hazardous marine conditions across the Atlantic and Gulf waters by the end the week and into the weekend in the form of building seas and gusty winds. Small Craft operators should keep up with the forecast.
