Synopsis: A weakening front extending from a meandering low over the Alaska Peninsula will push through the region tonight, with an increase in westerlies over the Gulf and near the southern panhandle. High pressure again dominates the Gulf by Saturday and continuing into early next week, causing winds to become more northwesterly, with another increase in speed within the Dixon Entrance region and southern waters, possibly becoming strong.
