Synopsis: A weakening 992 mb low in the northern gulf will shift eastward through Tuesday. Westerly 20 kt winds and seas of 8 to 10 feet persist in the Gulf of Alaska Monday, steadily decreasing Tuesday. 15 to 20 kt S winds are also blowing through the northern and central inner channels, shifting southeastward into the southern inner channels Tuesday morning. A brief break is expected Tuesday night before the next system approaches the panhandle Wednesday, increasing winds and seas again.
