Flood Watches are in effect from through Saturday evening for all of central and southern SEAK and most of the northern panhandle. Flood Advisories are in effect for the Juneau area & around Ketchikan's Ward Lake.
An atmospheric river will continue to impact the panhandle through Saturday, bringing snow transitioning to heavy rain, as well as quickly rising freezing levels. Flooding is quite possible due the expected rainfall and abundant snowmelt. across marine areas. Strongest winds will occur this afternoon
into evening with widespread gales and times of storm force
winds along Clarence Strait into Dixon Entrance. Seas along the
southern gulf have build to around 20 ft as of Friday afternoon.
