A weather system will slowly move through the Northeast on Friday to produce widespread heavy to excessive rainfall across parts of the region. The excessive rainfall threat may result in flash, urban and small stream flooding, especially for the entire New York City metro area into parts of Connecticut. Locally heavy rain is also possible in parts of Florida Friday through the weekend.
