A large dome of high pressure is expected to deliver summer heat with humidity in multiple sections of the country to start off the week. Excessive heat warnings and heat advisories are in effect across the south-central Plains, Mid to Lower Mississippi Valley and from the Mid-Atlantic into the Northeast. This includes the cities of New York, Philadelphia, Dallas, Oklahoma City and Kansas City.
