A slow moving and large-scale system will produce widespread rain and thunderstorms the next few days across the central and southern Plains into the Mid to Lower Mississippi Valley. Synopsis: High pressure in the Atlantic continues to ridge across Florida and
into the eastern Gulf of Mexico. This will keep a predominant ESE
wind flow around 10-15 knots, turning onshore near the coast with
the afternoon sea breeze each day. A slight increase in winds is
possible late Wednesday into Thursday with SCEC conditions likely.
Shower and storm chances will remain on the low side the first half
of the week, then increasing the latter part of the week and into
the weekend.
