Marine Zone Forecast
Synopsis: A front is moving north across the eastern Gulf of Alaska and
the southern portions of the Alaska Panhandle today as low
pressure, situated over the central Gulf of Alaska, moves east
to just offshore of Prince of Wales Island by Friday. The
weakening area of low pressure will then drift southeast and
dissipate near Haida Gwaii over the weekend. Weak ridging builds
Sunday before another low pressure system moves into the eastern
Gulf causing winds along the coast to increase from the
southeast.
