A moist and unstable air mass will bring scattered heavy showers and thunderstorms to the coastal waters through at least the middle of this week. Any of this activity will be capable of producing localized gale-force winds and rough seas, dangerous lightning, heavy rainfall with reduced visibility, and waterspouts. The weather systems affecting the region through the middle of this week will be especially conducive for the development of waterspouts, so please use extra caution or consider remaining in port. $$ Cohen/Ciliberti

...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 9 PM PST THIS EVENING...
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...A portion of southwest California, including the following
counties, San Luis Obispo, Santa Barbara and Ventura.
* WHEN...Until 900 PM PST.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
Rock slides and mud slides in areas of steep terrain. Minor debris
flows.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 446 PM PST, Doppler radar indicated isolated to scattered
showers moving across the Advisory area, and additional
brief, moderate to heavy showers will occur through the
evening hours.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Oxnard, Thousand Oaks, Simi Valley, Ventura, Santa Maria,
Santa Barbara, Camarillo, San Luis Obispo, Lompoc, Paso
Robles, Fillmore, Morro Bay, Pismo Beach, Ojai, Santa Ynez,
Montecito, Point Conception, Agoura Hills, Woodland Hills and
Moorpark.

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
