A cold storm system originating from Canada will dig down and cut off to the north of coastal waters. As it cuts off, the storm will pick up moisture off the eastern Pacific ocean. A marginally moist air mass will interact with the cold and unstable air mass aloft to bring the potential for thunderstorms across the coastal waters from late tonight through Monday morning. Any thunderstorm that forms will be capable of producing locally gale force winds and rough seas, dangerous lightning, heavy rainfall with reduced visibility, and waterspouts. $$ Hall
