Cape Suckling to Cape Cleare-Cape Cleare to Gore Point-
Prince William Sound-Passage Canal-Barren Islands East-
850 AM AKDT Wed Oct 5 2022

A compact but potent system will track toward marine zone 120
(Cape Cleare to Gore Point) this afternoon and evening. Winds will
be gale force, with gusts approaching storm force in a small,
localized area.

A small area of lightning has been detected over the central Gulf
with this compact low pressure system. Note that track
uncertainty is higher than normal, and the system could affect the
Prince William Sound area through the Barren Islands. Current
model spread is from the Montague Island/Prince William Sound area
through the Barren Islands area. The latest trends indicate a
more westerly solution than previously advertised, tracking the
storm more toward marine zone 120.
