This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of Lake Superior
and the Nearshore waters of western Lake Superior.

.DAY ONE...This afternoon and Tonight

Strong southwest winds over western Lake Superior and gradually
weaken tonight. Waves of 3 to 7 feet will subside overnight as
well. Small Craft Advisories remain in effect tonight and early
Thursday morning.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday

Southwest winds strengthen again Thursday with sustained winds of
15 to 25 knots and gusts of 25 to 30 knots forecast. Gale-force
gusts to around 35 knots are possible over all of the nearshore
waters and particularly over the waters of the South Shore.
Another Small Craft Advisory will eventually be needed and Gale
Warnings are possible.

Winds will veer northwesterly Thursday night. The strong
northwest winds will persist through Saturday morning with lulls
during the overnight periods expected. Additional Small Craft
Advisories may be needed. Occasional gales to 35 knots are
possible.

* WHAT...West winds 10 to 20 kt with gusts up to 30 kt and waves 3
  to 5 feet. Waves occasionally to 7 feet.

* WHERE...Outer Apostle Islands Beyond 5 NM from Mainland.

* WHEN...Until 1 AM CDT Thursday.

* IMPACTS...Conditions will be hazardous to small craft.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Anyone operating a smaller vessel should avoid navigating in
hazardous conditions.
