This hazardous weather outlook is for portions of Lake Erie, Lake
Huron and Lake St Clair.

.DAY ONE...This Afternoon and Tonight

Small Craft Advisories are in effect for portions of the Lake Huron
shoreline. A low water advisory is in effect for western Lake Erie.
Please see the marine forecast for additional details.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Sunday through Friday

Arctic air is forecast to surge into the area Sunday into Monday,
with potential for gusts in excess of 30 knots. A gale watch is in
effect for Lake St. Clair and western Lake Erie.  Snow squalls and
heavy freezing spray will be likely over Lake Huron through early
next week.

...LOW WATER ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 1 AM EST SUNDAY...
...GALE WATCH IN EFFECT FROM MONDAY MORNING THROUGH MONDAY
EVENING...

* WHAT...During the Low Water Advisory, abnormally low water
  levels expected. During the Gale Watch, expect sustained winds
  up to 24 knots from the west with gusts up to 34 knots
  possible.

* WHERE...Michigan Waters of Lake Erie from Detroit River to
  North Cape MI.

* WHEN...During the Low Water Advisory, the maximum winds are
  expected around 3 PM EST Saturday with the largest waves
  expected around. During the Gale Watch, the maximum winds are
  expected around 11 AM EST Monday with the largest waves
  expected around.

* IMPACTS...Strong winds can cause hazardous waves which could
  capsize or damage vessels and reduce visibility. Below normal
  water levels will result in hazardous navigating conditions.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...The water level at Toledo as of 224 PM EST
  is 7 inches below low water datum. The critical mark for safe
  navigation is 9 inches below datum. Water levels are expected to
  reach 12 to 18 inches below datum early this evening before
  slowly rising tonight.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Mariners should consider altering plans to avoid possible
hazardous conditions.  Remain in port, seek safe harbor, alter
course, and/or secure the vessel for severe wind and waves.

Mariners should navigate shallow waters with extreme caution due
to below normal water levels.
