This hazardous weather outlook is for South Florida. .DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT Rip currents: A high risk of rip currents continues along the Atlantic beaches. Thunderstorms: Scattered thunderstorms will continue to develop, especially across the interior portions of South Florida. The main hazards associated with these storms will be cloud to ground lightning strikes and heavy downpours. Waterspouts: An isolated waterspout cannot be ruled out in showers and thunderstorms over the Atlantic waters as well as Lake Okeechobee. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...SATURDAY THROUGH THURSDAY The heightened rip current risk will continue through the weekend along the Atlantic Coast beaches. Showers and thunderstorms will become increasingly numerous this weekend and into early next week, with the potential for heavy rain at times. .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...
