.NOW...
Through 4 AM, isolated showers and thunderstorms across the eastern
Straits of Florida, and the nearshore waters to the southeast of the
Upper and Middle Keys will continue to move to the west northwest at
near 15 knots. This activity is slowly weakening, however, if they
can hold together, they are expected to reach part of the Middle Keys
and the Upper Keys within the next hour. Mariners encountering this
activity may experience reduced visibility in heavy downpours, wind
gusts of 25 to 30 knots, and occasionally a few lightning strikes. On
land, portions of the Upper and Middle Keys may pick up a quick tenth
to a quarter of an inch of rainfall with locally up to a half inch.
