...SIGNIFICANT WEATHER ADVISORY FOR NORTHERN PALM BEACH COUNTY UNTIL
715 PM EDT...

* At 630 PM EDT, National Weather Service meteorologists were
  tracking a strong thunderstorm near Lion Country Safari Park, or 10
  miles northwest of Wellington. This storm was nearly stationary.

* Winds in excess of 45 mph and funnel clouds possible with this
  storm.

* Locations impacted include...
  West Palm Beach, Wellington, Palm Beach Gardens, Riviera Beach,
  Pahokee, Canal Point, Greenacres, Royal Palm Beach, Haverhill,
  Golden Lakes, North County Airport, Loxahatchee Groves, Lion
  Country Safari Park, Gun Club Estates, Schall Circle, Royal Palm
  Estates, Lake Belvedere Estates, The Acreage, Fremd Village-Padgett
  Island and Palm Beach International Airport.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

These winds can down small tree limbs and branches, and blow around
unsecured small objects. Seek shelter in a safe building until the
storm passes.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm, and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

This activity was also developing in an environment favorable for the
formation of funnel clouds. Stay tuned to NOAA weather radio and
local media for additional updates and possible warnings.

...Thunderstorms Possible through the Evening Hours...

This hazardous weather outlook is for South Florida.

.DAY ONE...THIS AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT

Thunderstorms: Thunderstorms are possible across South Florida through
the late evening hours. The main hazards are lightning, urban
flooding of roadways, and strong, gusty wind.

Flooding: Localized flooding may be possible, mainly for the metro
areas, where repeated rounds of heavy rainfall could accumulate over
previously saturated, urban and poorly drained areas.

Wind: The strongest storms may be capable of producing an isolated
wind gust pf 45 to 50 mph this evening.

Waterspouts: Isolated waterspouts are possible with showers and
thunderstorms across all South Florida waters.


.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...FRIDAY THROUGH WEDNESDAY

Scattered thunderstorms are forecast each day, primarily during the
afternoon hours. Gusty winds, lightning, and localized flooding over
urban and poorly drained areas from heavy rainfall may be possible.


.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Widespread spotter activation is not anticipated, however individual
spotters are encouraged to report high wind, hail and flooding to
the National Weather Service forecast office in Miami.
