This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for the Maryland portion of the
Chesapeake Bay, Tidal Potomac River, and I-95 corridor through
central Maryland, northern Virginia, and District of Columbia.

.DAY ONE...Tonight

A Tropical Storm Warning is in effect for Calvert and St. Mary`s
Counties, over the Chesapeake Bay south of North Beach MD, and the
lower tidal Potomac River southeast of Cobb Island MD. Sustained
tropical storm force winds are most likely over these areas.

A Gale Warning is in in effect for the Chesapeake Bay and
adjoining estuaries north of North Beach MD, and the tidal
Potomac River from Key Bridge to Cobb Island MD.

A Wind Advisory is in effect until 8 PM this evening. Gusty winds
and saturated grounds will result in downed trees.

A Coastal Flood Warning is in effect for St. Mary`s County
through 2 AM tonight. Moderate to major tidal flooding is
expected. Additionally, Coastal Flood Warnings are in effect
through tonight for the shoreline of Washington DC, Arlington and
the City of Alexandria, and Anne Arundel County for moderate
tidal flooding.

A Flood Watch for flash flooding is in effect for the I-95
corridor from Fredericksburg VA to Baltimore MD.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Sunday through Friday

The Flood Watch is in effect until 8 AM Sunday.

Tropical Storm Warnings continue for Calvert and St. Mary`s
Counties, over the Chesapeake Bay south of North Beach MD, and
the lower tidal Potomac River southeast of Cobb Island MD on
Sunday. Sustained tropical storm force winds are most likely over
these areas.

Coastal Flood Warnings continue through early Sunday morning
across the shoreline of Washington DC, Arlington and the City of
Alexandria, and Anne Arundel County.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotters are asked to provide any wind damage and coastal flooding
reports to the National Weather Service.

...GALE WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL MIDNIGHT EDT TONIGHT...

* WHAT...Northeast winds 20 to 30 kt with gusts up to 40 kt and
  waves 2 to 4 ft.

* WHERE...Tidal Potomac River from Key Bridge to Cobb Island MD,
  Chesapeake Bay north of North Beach MD, Patapsco River
  including Baltimore Harbor, Chester River to Queenstown MD,
  and Eastern Bay.

* WHEN...Until midnight EDT tonight.

* IMPACTS...Strong winds will cause hazardous waves which could
  capsize or damage vessels.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Mariners should alter plans to avoid these hazardous conditions.
Remain in port, seek safe harbor, alter course, and/or secure the
vessel for severe conditions.
