For the following areas... Chesapeake Bay from Pooles Island to Sandy Point MD... Chesapeake Bay north of Pooles Island MD... Chester River to Queenstown MD... Patapsco River including Baltimore Harbor... At 1242 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms capable of producing waterspouts were located along a line extending from 33 nm northwest of Middle River to 18 nm west of Fort Smallwood State Park to 9 nm east of Tidal Basin, moving northeast at 30 knots. HAZARD...Waterspouts and wind gusts in excess of 50 knots. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Boaters could easily be thrown overboard by suddenly higher wind and waves capsizing their vessel. Boats could suffer significant damage in high winds. Waterspouts can easily overturn boats and create locally hazardous seas. Locations impacted include...
