This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for the Maryland portion of the
Chesapeake Bay, Tidal Potomac River, and I-95 corridor through
central Maryland, northern Virginia, and District of Columbia.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight

A Tornado Watch is in effect for much of the area until 2pm this
afternoon. In addition to the threat for tornadoes, damaging wind
gusts and large hail will also be possible.

A Flood Watch is in effect for much of the area from 11am this
morning through 11pm this evening, for the potential of flash
flooding. Multiple rounds of thunderstorms producing heavy
rainfall may lead to scattered instances of flash flooding.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday

No hazardous weather is expected at this time.

Spotter activation will be required today.

  Chesapeake Bay north of North Beach MD, Chester River to
  Queenstown MD, Patapsco River including Baltimore Harbor,
  Patuxent River to Broomes Island MD, Choptank River to
  Cambridge MD and the Little Choptank River, and Eastern Bay.

* WHEN...Until 2 AM EDT Saturday.

* IMPACTS...Conditions will be hazardous to small craft.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Inexperienced mariners, especially those operating smaller
vessels, should avoid navigating in hazardous conditions.
