Be aware of thunderstorms in your area and be prepared to take shelter. .Excessive Rainfall...Ponding of water in roads and poorly drained areas possible across all the islands. Urban flooding is possible. .Wind...Breezy conditions. Unsecured items could blow around. .Marine Conditions...Seas equal or greater than 7 feet across the Atlantic waters and passages. Hazardous conditions for small craft. .Rip Currents...Life-threatening rip currents are likely in the surf zone particularly for the beaches along the west, north, and east coasts of the islands. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday A wet and unstable weather pattern is expected to persist through early next week. A series of troughs will promote thunderstorms and excessive rainfall across the area, enhancing the potential for flooding across the islands. Increasing winds and a northerly swell spreading across the local waters will further deteriorate seas and cause life-threatening rip currents through at least mid- week. .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT... Seas 5 to 7 feet with occasional seas up to 9 feet. * WHERE...Coastal waters east of Puerto Rico, around Vieques, and around and just north of Culebra and Saint John. * WHEN...through 6 PM AST this evening. * IMPACTS...Conditions will be hazardous to small craft.
