...ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS THIS EVENING EAST COAST AND ATLANTIC WATERS...

This hazardous weather outlook is for South Florida.

.DAY ONE...TONIGHT

Thunderstorms: Isolated thunderstorms are possible this evening,
mainly over Miami metro area, Miami Beach, and adjacent Atlantic
waters.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...WEDNESDAY THROUGH MONDAY

Marine conditions are forecast to deteriorate rapidly on Wednesday
as strong north and northeast winds overspread the local waters.
Hazardous boating conditions are expected through the end of the week
with wind gusts to gale force and seas building to 10 to 14 feet in
the local Atlantic waters on Thursday.

A high risk of rip currents is expected along the Atlantic beaches,
with the potential for beach erosion and minor coastal flooding.

A Marine Weather Statement has been issued for the following areas...
  Coastal waters from Deerfield Beach to Ocean Reef FL out 20 NM...
  Coastal waters from Jupiter Inlet to Deerfield Beach FL out 20
  NM...
  Waters from Deerfield Beach to Ocean Reef FL from 20 to 60 NM
  excluding the territorial waters of Bahamas...
  Waters from Jupiter Inlet to Deerfield Beach FL from 20 to 60
  NM...

At 1034 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated clusters of strong
thunderstorms, capable of producing winds to around 30 knots. These
thunderstorms are scattered across the local Atlantic waters,
generally moving east at 15 knots.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Mariners can expect gusty winds to around 30 knots, locally higher
waves, and lightning strikes. Boaters should seek safe harbor
immediately until these storms pass.

Waterspouts are possible with this activity. Remain on the alert in
case warnings are issued for waterspout development.

* Winds and Seas...North winds 15 to 25 kt with gusts up to 35
  kt. Seas 6 to 11 feet.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Small Craft Advisory means that wind speeds of 21 to 33 knots
are expected to produce hazardous wave conditions to small craft.
Inexperienced mariners, especially those operating smaller
vessels should avoid navigating in these conditions.
