A High Risk of dangerous rip currents continues at all area beaches today. .RIVER FLOOD IMPACT... The St Johns River at Astor and the forecast point at Deland remain in Major Flood Stage. The forecast point at Geneva Above Lake Harney is forecast to gradually crest into Major Flood Stage this week. The St Johns River at Sanford is forecast to crest in Moderate Flood Stage into early week. The Little Wekiva River remains in Moderate Flood Stage. Shingle Creek is forecast to remain in Minor Flood Stage. See Flood Warnings for more details. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Tuesday through Sunday. River flooding will continue through the week along the St Johns River at Astor, Deland, Sanford, and Geneva Above Lake Harney. The forecast point at Geneva Above Lake Harney is forecast to gradually crest into Major Flood Stage early this week. The St Johns River at Sanford is forecast to crest in Moderate Flood Stage late this week or early next week. The Little Wekiva River and Shingle Creek are forecast to fall below flood stage on Monday or Tuesday. Breezy to windy northeast flow will develop behind a cool front Wednesday and continue through late week. Fast moving showers and possibly a thunderstorm will push onshore. Boating conditions will once again become hazardous once from mid to late week as northeast winds increase behind a cool front, building seas to 10 feet in the Gulf Stream. A threat for coastal flooding will begin late Wednesday night into early Thursday morning and continue through late Thursday night and into early Friday morning along our coastal communities due to a combination of high astronomical tides and increased seas from winds. .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...
