A southward flowing longshore current will pose a hazard at the beaches this morning. There is also a Moderate risk for dangerous rip currents at east central Florida beaches. Always swim near a lifeguard, and never swim alone. .WIND AND SEA IMPACT... Small craft should exercise caution in the Gulf Stream the rest of today for seas up to 6 feet. .RIVER FLOOD IMPACT... The Saint Johns River at Astor is forecast to slowly fall through Action Stage into early next week. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...FRIDAY THROUGH WEDNESDAY. Scattered to numerous showers and a few lightning storms are expected along and ahead of a fast moving cold front on Sunday. A few storms during the afternoon and evening could become strong to marginally severe, with strong gusty winds, frequent lightning and torrential downpours. Ahead of the front, increasing south to southwest winds will produce poor to hazardous boating conditions Sunday, which will continue behind the front into early next week as fresh northwest winds gradually shift onshore. A Moderate risk of rip currents is forecast to continue at the central Florida Atlantic beaches this weekend and next week. .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...
