Scattered thunderstorms will be possible today and tonight. The primary hazards will be lightning strikes and gusty winds. Locally heavy rainfall will also be possible, so a Flood Watch is in effect for the Florida Keys through this evening. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday. Isolated to scattered thunderstorms are expected from Thursday through Tuesday. The primary hazards will be lightning strikes and locally gusty winds. Locally heavy rainfall will also be possible through Friday night. .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT... Spotter activation is not expected at this time. $$ NB

Through 300 am, the heavy rainfall across the Florida Keys and adjacent waters will begin to wane. Showers will slowly transition to stratiform rain over the next few hours and rainfall will taper off over the Lower Keys first. An additional up to one inch of rain is likely over the Middle and Upper Keys with a quarter to half of an inch of rain possible over the Lower Keys. Discrete thunderstorms over the Florida Straits are moving east at 10 to 15 mph with localized wind gusts up to 30 to 35 mph with frequent lightning strikes.
