This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for Atlantic coastal waters,
southern Connecticut, northeast New Jersey and southeast New York.

.DAY ONE...Today and tonight.

Showers and thunderstorms are expected to develop ahead of a cold
front and move through the region this afternoon and evening. Some
thunderstorms could be strong to severe, capable of producing gusty
to damaging winds, large hail and brief heavy downpours. Localized
flash flooding is possible.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday.

The first heat wave of the season may start on Tuesday with peak
heat index values above 95 possible. Heat will likely continue into
midweek.
