This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for Atlantic coastal waters, southeast Florida, southern Florida, southwest Florida and Gulf of Mexico. .DAY ONE...This afternoon and tonight. Thunderstorms: Scattered thunderstorms will develop this afternoon, with the highest chances remaining over the Lake Okeechobee region. The strongest storms could contain frequent lightning and heavy downpours. Flooding: Slow moving thunderstorms combined with the potential for heavy downpours could lead to localized flooding. Rip Currents: A moderate risk of rip currents will remain in place for the Palm Beaches. Excessive Heat: Peak heat index values will range between 105 and 110 across most of the area. A Heat Advisory is in effect for all of South Florida through 6pm this evening. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Monday through Saturday. Scattered to numerous thunderstorms will be possible each day throughout most of the week. The strongest storms could produce gusty winds, frequent lightning, and heavy downpours. Slow storm motions could also result in localized flooding, particularly near the metro areas. Heat indices over 100 degrees are expected each day throughout most of the week. .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...
