...Temperatures and precipitation were above normal for both
North Platte and Valentine in July...

For North Platte, the average daily mean temperature for the month
of July was 78.0 degrees which was 2.4 degrees above the normal of
75.6 degrees. The average daily high temperature for the month of
July was 92.4 degrees which was 2.7 degrees above the normal of
89.7 degrees. The average daily low temperature for July was 63.7
degrees which was 2.3 degrees above the normal of 61.4 degrees. One
daily temperature record was set during the month of July for
North Platte. On the 26th the high temperature in North Platte was
108 degrees. This broke the record high of 107 degrees set previously
in 1936.

For Valentine, the average daily mean temperature for the month of
July was 78.9 degrees which was 3.2 degrees above the normal of
75.7 degrees. The average daily high temperature for July was
92.5 degrees which was 2.1 degrees above the normal of 90.4 degrees.
The average daily low temperature for the month was 65.3 degrees
which was 4.3 degrees above the normal of 61.0 degrees. No daily
temperature records were set during the month of July in Valentine.

At Lee Bird Field in North Platte, precipitation for July
totaled 3.55 inches which was 0.37 inches above the normal of 3.18
inches. One daily precipitation record was set during the month of
July in North Platte. On the 29th, 1.79 inches of rain fell at Lee
Bird Field. This broken the record of 1.30 inches set previously
in 1915.

At Miller field in Valentine, precipitation for July totaled
3.87 inches which was 1.05 inches above the normal of 2.82 inches.
One daily precipitation record was set during the month of July
for Valentine. On the 30th, 2.77 inches of rainfall fell at Miller
Field, breaking the record of 2.18 inches set previously in 2013.
