556 FZUS63 KMQT 100801 GLFLS Open Lake Forecast for Lake Superior National Weather Service Marquette MI 400 AM EDT Fri Jul 10 2026 For waters beyond 5 nautical miles of shore on Lake Superior. Waves are the significant wave height - the average of the highest 1/3 of the wave spectrum. Occasional wave height is the average of the highest 1/10 of the wave spectrum. .SYNOPSIS... Weak high pressure of 30.0 inches extends over Lake Superior from Hudson Bay and northern Ontario today. High pressure builds to 30.1 to 30.2 inches over the lake this weekend as the high shifts south to the Lower Great Lakes through Sunday. A strong low of around 29.3 inches looks to cross into Hudson Bay early next week. By Wednesday, 30.1 inch high pressure extends from the Canadian Prairie to the southern Appalachians as 29.1 inch low pressure moves into northern Quebec.
