.DISCUSSION...
As a storm system continues to impact the region, periods of
moderate to heavy rain with light snow accumulations and gusty
winds are expected at times into Friday. Strongest south winds
gusting to 35 mph are anticipated through the early afternoon
today, then gradually decreasing the remainder of the day.
Rain showers are expected this evening after the initial push of
precip. with thunderstorms possible (15-25% chance) late this
evening into early tomorrow and lingering showers Friday morning.
Precipitation totals of 3.00-4.00" through Friday morning are
currently expected in the burn vicinity. Snow totals continue to
trend down as snow levels are forecasted higher with around 2 to 4
inches expected by Friday evening. Additional precipitation
chances remain possible through the weekend, with the next system
bringing a 20-40% chance of rainfall greater than 1" Sunday into
Monday.
