.DISCUSSION...
A wet and unstable wetter pattern will persist today. Shower
coverage will increase from late morning through the evening
across Salinas. Easterly winds around 14 mph have been observed at
a coastal site near Salinas, and similar conditions are expected
to continue through the day, generally ranging from 13 to 17 mph
with higher gusts. Maximum temperatures will reach the mid 80s,
with heat indices rising into the upper 80s. There is a high
likelihood of thunderstorms developing near or moving across the
site, especially after 11 AM and into the afternoon.
