...BREEZY WESTERLY WINDS AND LOW RH FRIDAY AFTERNOON...
.DISCUSSION...Unseasonably hot and dry conditions will continue
today, increasing fire danger. Interior valley highs in the upper
90s to just over 100 with daytime RH around 15 percent will
continue with slight easing Friday. Marine influence will be very
shallow along the coast Friday. Northwesterly to westerly winds
increase Friday afternoon before RH increases for good overnight
recoveries. High pressure weakens and a cooling trend arrives
into the weekend. Very strong north winds are most likely this
weekend and will enhance fire danger despite increasing RH along
exposed ridges and close to shore, especially as winds turn more
east Saturday night and into Sunday. Northeasterly winds will
strengthen Sunday through Sunday night, leading to some drying
and an enhanced fire risk.
