.DISCUSSION...
An upper level ridge is going to dominate the majority of the next 7 days.
For the most part RH values will hover between 10 and 20 percent during the day
with a recovery of 60 to 80 percent for the Nebraska Panhandle and around 40 to
60 percent for Southeastern Wyoming. Surface winds will be fairly light for
today and Saturday, however Sunday through Tuesday winds will ramp up to meet
Red Flag criteria and develop a strong combustible environment for those couple
of days. Smoke dispersal is expected to be poor in the overnight and pretty good
during the day due to diurnal mixing. However, the chance for wetting rain over
the next 7 days looks to be near zero despite the chance for some brief showers
over the southern Laramie range this afternoon. Any fuels that haven`t cured due
to the amount of rain the past couple days is likely to cure as temperatures are
expected to be in the 80`s and 90`s with some places reaching over 100 degrees.
