.DISCUSSION....
Today, isolated thunderstorms will be confined to south slopes of
the Central Brooks Range and from the Yukon Delta to the Alaska
Range. Some storms across the YK Delta could be strong and produce
gusty winds and heavy rain. Wetting rain likely in areas around
Grayling stretching to McGrath. Temperatures continue to warm
through Monday with highs across the Western Interior around 80
degrees with minimum RH values in the mid 20s to the upper 30s.
Major pattern shift remains likely with the upper level ridge over
central Alaska breaking down. A strong front is expected to move
over the Bering Strait sometime during the late hours Monday
night. This front is expected to bring a stronger winds,
widespread wetting rain, and cooler temperatures across the
Western Interior starting Tuesday morning.
