.DISCUSSION...
Showers largely recede from the region today with warmer
temperatures expected. No thunderstorms are expected. Winds shift
to the northeast and slowly increase through the day, but remain
light for non-coastal zones. Temperatures warm with highs in the
mid 70s and minimum RHs falling into the 40s.
Wednesday night into Thursday a low in the Bering Sea begins to
move east towards the Gulf of Alaska bringing showery conditions
to the Lower Yukon and YK Deltas as well as increasing northerly
winds along the coasts. This extra moisture cools the southern
zones and raises minimum RHs back into the 50s for the region.
These showers expand into the Western Interior Thursday night
into Friday and are enhanced by another system moving in from the
northwest. This will bring scattered to numerous showers to the
rest of the Western Interior and much of the coast as well as
significantly cooling the area. Additional waves of showers are
expected through most of next week keeping the area cool and
moist.
