.DISCUSSION...
As an upper level ridge continues to hover over the Bering Sea,
warmer weather is anticipated for at least the earlier portion of
the week until widespread troughing takes over mid week. High
temps are expected to be in the 70s and will decrease throughout
the week. Minimum RH values will most likely be relatively high in
the 50% and 60% range for the majority of the West Coast region.
Some locations on coastlines may even see min RH values in the 70%
to 80% range. Rain showers are also likely over the South Slopes
of the Western Brooks Range, the Noatak Valley, the majority of
the Seward Peninsula, Kobuk Valley, and the North Slopes of the
Western Alaska Range for most of the forecast period. Isolated
thunderstorms are the most likely this evening in the Lower Kobuk,
Seward Pen, Nulato Hills, Lower Koyukuk, Upper Kuskokwim, and
the Lower/Middle Yukon Valley.
