.DISCUSSION...
A coastal storm will be approaching the West Coast bringing high
surf to the coast, strong southerly winds, and significant
rainfall. 1 to 2 inches are expected for much of the West Coast
and Western Interior Monday through Wednesday, with rainfall
generally beginning tonight. Higher rainfall totals of 2 to 4
inches possible in the Western Brooks Range. High temperatures
will generally be in the upper 50s and lower 60s on Monday with
min RHs in the 50% range, though increasing as the showers move
through. No thunderstorms are expected with these showers.
Wednesday the storm center begins to move into the Western
Interior and weaken. This will shift winds more northwesterly and
cause rain amounts to diminish.
