.DISCUSSION...
The western portion of the state is currently receiving
widespread rain as a low moves into the coast. Rain will diminish
into showers gradually through the day and completely end by
Wednesday morning. The wettest regions will be south of the Yukon
River and west of Mcgrath. Wednesday, temperatures are still
expected to rise into the 70s and 80s across much of the area,
more so Thursday. Min RHs will not be an will drop into the 30s on
Wednesday in the Interior, then continue gradually dropping
through the end of the week. Southeast winds will continue to be
gusty through Wednesday afternoon, especially south and west of
Galena, then weaken on Thursday. Some isolated thunderstorms
return Wednesday afternoon and are expected in an area from Noatak
to Ambler to Galena. Isolated thunderstorms are possible across
the entire Western Interior Thursday afternoon.
