...WIND ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 11 AM PDT /11 AM MST/ THIS MORNING
TO 9 PM PDT /9 PM MST/ TUESDAY...

* WHAT...South winds 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 45 mph expected.

* WHERE...Lake Mead National Recreation Area, and Northwest Deserts
  of Arizona.

* WHEN...From 11 AM PDT /11 AM MST/ this morning to 9 PM PDT /9 PM
  MST/ Tuesday.

* IMPACTS...Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects and kick
  up pockets of blowing dust. Tree limbs could be blown down and a
  few power outages may result.  Gusty winds will result in elevated
  waves and dangerous boating conditions on Lake Mead and Lake
  Mohave.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high
profile vehicles. Use extra caution.  Boating in these conditions
will be difficult and potentially dangerous with risk of capsizing
small vessels.

  and Western Mojave Desert. In Nevada, Esmeralda and Central Nye
  County and Lincoln County.

* WHEN...From 11 AM this morning to 11 PM PDT this evening.

* IMPACTS...Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree
  limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result.

Blowing dust could produce localized rapid changes in visibility.

...FREEZE WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM TUESDAY EVENING THROUGH
WEDNESDAY MORNING...

* WHAT...First freeze of the fall season is expected with overnight
  lows dropping into the range of 27 to 32.

* WHERE...Owens Valley.

* WHEN...From Tuesday evening through Wednesday morning.

* IMPACTS...Frost and freeze conditions could kill crops, other
  sensitive vegetation and possibly damage unprotected outdoor
  plumbing.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Take steps now to protect tender plants from the cold.
