GUSTY NORTH WINDS CONTINUE ACROSS THE AREA TODAY, BECOMING  MORE
CONFINED TO SOUTHERN NEVADA AND THE COLORADO RIVER VALLEY ON
THURSDAY. WIND GUSTS OF 30-50 MPH EXPECTED. COMBINED WITH AFTERNOON
RH VALUES AROUND 10-20 PERCENT, THERE MAY BE PERIOD OF ELEVATED FIRE
 WEATHER CONDITIONS, PARTICULARLY IN THE COLORADO RIVER VALLEY. DRY
CONDITIONS PERSIST INTO THE WEEKEND BUT LIGHTER WINDS ARE
ANTICIPATED FRIDAY THROUGH SUNDAY.

SANTA ANA WINDS WILL STRENGTHEN THIS MORNING WITH PERIODS OF STRONG
AND GUSTY SANTA ANA WINDS CONTINUING INTO THURSDAY WITH THE STRONGER
GUSTS ALONG AND BELOW THE COASTAL SLOPES OF THE  MOUNTAINS TO 50 TO
60 MPH. LOWEST DAYTIME HUMIDITY WILL FALL TO  AROUND 10 PERCENT WITH
POOR RECOVERY TONIGHT TO 20 TO 30 PERCENT.  MUCH COOLER FOR INLAND
AREAS TODAY FOLLOWED BY A GRADUAL WARMING  TREND INTO THE WEEKEND
WITH HIGH TEMPERATURES OVER THE WEEKEND  MOSTLY A FEW DEGREES BELOW
AVERAGE. FOR FRIDAY THROUGH THE  WEEKEND, THERE WILL BE WEAKER WINDS
WITH A GRADUAL RECOVERY IN  HUMIDITY. A LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM MOVING
INLAND ACROSS CALIFORNIA  EARLY NEXT WEEK WILL BRING COOLING,
STRONGER AND GUSTY WEST WINDS, A GREATER RECOVERY IN HUMIDITY, ALONG
WITH A SLIGHT CHANCE OF  SHOWERS FOR MONDAY NIGHT.

WELL BELOW NORMAL TEMPERATURES WILL PREVAIL THROUGH THE END OF THE
WORK WEEK. A MOSTLY DRY WEATHER SYSTEM WILL DIVE SOUTH INTO THE
DESERT SOUTHWEST TODAY AND LINGER THROUGH THURSDAY. THIS SYSTEM
WILL BRING BREEZY TO LOCALLY WINDY CONDITIONS ACROSS THE WESTERN
DISTRICTS FOR MUCH OF TODAY, WITH WIND GUSTS ALONG THE LOWER
COLORADO RIVER VALLEY AND PORTIONS OF SOUTHEAST CALIFORNIA TO
BETWEEN 35-45 MPH. LIGHT SHOWER ACTIVITY WILL BE POSSIBLE ACROSS
THE EASTERN ARIZONA HIGHER TERRAIN THROUGH THURSDAY AFTERNOON, BUT
CWR FOR THE HIGH TERRAIN OF THE EASTERN DISTRICTS IS 5% OR LESS.
MINRHS TODAY WILL FALL IN THE UPPER SINGLE DIGITS UP TO AROUND 15%
AND WILL MAINLY FALL INTO THE TEENS ON THURSDAY ACROSS THE LOWER
DESERTS, WITH READINGS CLOSER TO 20-30% OVER HIGHER TERRAIN AREAS
EACH DAY.
