.DISCUSSION...Aside from a stray shower in the Sierra and northern Owens
Valley, dry conditions are expected with warm temperatures and
southwesterly afternoon breezes. A weather system will move in on
Saturday bringing widespread gusty winds of 35 to 45 mph and gusts over
50 mph in the higher elevations, along with shower chances mainly across
the Sierra and Southern Great Basin through the weekend. Winds will
remain gusty through Sunday evening before becoming focused along the
Colorado River on Monday. Improving conditions expected next week
with a warming trend.
