.DISCUSSION...A strong early season storm system will bring
widespread wetting rain to the Western Mojave Desert and southern
Great Basin today along with mountain snow to the Sierra and
higher regional peaks. Gusty southerly winds are also expected.
Drier conditions are expected for the lower Colorado River Valley
and northwest Arizona. Improving conditions are in store the rest
of the week though temperatures will remain below normal for mid-
October.
