.DISCUSSION...Isolated terrain based convection will be possible
across the Eastern Sierra and Southern Great Basin over the
weekend as high pressure slowly pushes moisture to the north. Dry
low levels will make it difficult for rain to reach the ground,
resulting in minimal chances for wetting rains. Erratic winds and
lightning will be possible with any storms that develop. The
coverage and intensity of convection will decrease each afternoon
through the weekend as the region dries out and temperatures
climb. Expect above normal temperatures an dry conditions next
week with breezy southwesterly winds during the afternoons.
