.DISCUSSION...
Isolated showers and storms are possible this afternoon,
especially across northwestern SD. Highs will be in the upper 70s
to mid 80s. Afternoon humidities will range from 30 to 35%. Winds
will shift to the northwest and strengthen this afternoon as a
front crosses the region. Winds will be strongest in northwestern
SD with sustained winds of 20 to 25 mph and gusts of up to 45 mph.
Strong and erratic winds may occur near any storms.

...LOW FIRE DANGER...

The grassland fire danger index will reach the low category this
afternoon. Favorable weather conditions or a high moisture
content of grasses, and other dry organic material on the ground,
indicate that the probability of a fast moving fire is low.
Outdoor burning under these conditions can usually be performed
with reasonable safety precautions, but should be monitored.

The outlook for Sunday afternoon, The grassland fire danger index
will reach the low category to moderate category.
